Brigg Reilley, MPH, will discuss the uses of technology in the delivery of health care, especially in rural setting. He will discuss barriers and needs at the primary care level and the national level in Indian Health Services.

David’s company, Seamless Medical Systems is the creator of SNAP™, a revolutionary product that transforms the patient check in and waiting room experience in medical practices. Dr. Iwamoto will give an overview of the electronic medical record (EMR) system at UNM, and other issues related to patient care delivery

Dr. Gary Iwamoto is the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) for UNMH. Gary serves as a liaison between the medical staff, UNMH Information Technology and senior leadership in the development of strategic plans for information management, the development of training programs for clinicians and ongoing review of current systems. His background is in Internal Medicine/Pulmonary and Critical Care. He has been with UNMH since 1996.

David Perez, CEO, Seamless Medical: David Perez is a successful and creative entrepreneur who has been working in the Internet industry for 20 + years. He has extensive experience starting companies, raising capital, building executive teams, M&A, branding and marketing.

He started a number of New York City based businesses including: Lumina Americas a digital marketing agency serving the US Hispanic and Latin American markets; Latin Force Ventures a internet incubator and The Latin Force Group a US Hispanic focused marketing services company. He has worked with a variety of clients including: Kraft Foods, Nickelodeon Networks, MTV, The NFL, Nike, Wells Fargo Bank and others. David has raised over $30 million of private equity from institutional investors including JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs. Prior to founding Seamless Medical, David was the CEO of OnQueue Technologies a leading mobile app development technology company.

Brigg Reilley, MPH, has worked in the Division of Epidemiology for Indian Health Service for seven years, monitoring HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. IHS has a network of clinics and hospitals in 34 states, mainly in rural and remote settings, serving over 1.8 million American Indian/Alaska Native patients. Prior to IHS, he worked for 10 years for Doctors without Borders in several international settings in infectious disease and refugee programs.
