Past EventNMBio November 4 Meeting – Commercialization of Medical Devices

Our November meeting (actually a late October meeting so we could bring you this great program) will feature Omid Mashhadi, Medtronics Senior Global Product Manager.  His presentation will discuss the changing US healthcare environment and the implications to hospitals/caregivers and the evolution of medical device trends and solutions.

– Health care reform will bring about sweeping changes from insuring all Americans to rewarding providers for better care. How hospitals/caregivers manage these changes will determine whether they can continue to be successful in the field.

– In a U.S. health care system beleaguered by high costs, fresh streams of cost-saving innovations continue to evolve. In particular, how might ‘Big Data’ and ‘Diagnostics’ evolve to provide clinical & economic value based solutions to hospitals and caregivers?

Omid is currently a Senior Global Product Manager at Medtronic in Minneapolis MN. With 8- years commercial healthcare and high tech experience, Omid has led multiple global product launches and product development initiatives across the Neuromodulation and Diabetes business units at Medtronic.
