NMBio to Host 2016 New Mexico BioGENEius Challenge

We will once again be conducting the New Mexico BioGENEius Challenge in 2016. A winner will be selected at the New Mexico Science and Engineering Fair in Socorro on April 1-2, 2016.  The winner of the New Mexico BioGENEius Challenge and a teacher chaperone will receive an all expense paid trip to the International BioGENEius Challenge held in San Francisco, CA in conjunction with the BIO Conference June 5-8, 2016.

We’re seeking an angel sponsor to help cover costs for the student winner and teacher chaperone to attend the International Challenge (please contact me if you can help). Also, we are seeking judges for the International competition (those that will be attending the BIO Conference), our state level competition, and also virtual judges (those that cannot attend the BIO Conference but would like to judge projects online). If interested, contact Michael Vickers — mvickers@massbiolab.com

Are You Heading to San Francisco in June? Here’s How to Save $400. Act fast!

Let me know if you are planning to attend the BIO International Convention in San Francisco and you’ll save $200 on the cost of your registration. The deadline to contact me is March 10. I’ll forward you a code supplied by BIO that must be used in conjunction with your registering in advance of the April 14 early bird deadline (beating the early bird deadline will save you another $200). The world’s largest biotech conference will attract more than 15,000 attendees from around the world. The convention is June 6-9. For more information please visit BIO’s web site – www.convention.bio.org.

We are exploring the possibility of leasing and staffing a trade show booth at the convention with economic development organizations as well as with research institutions and businesses. It’s an opportunity to showcase out budding life sciences industry, including the biotechnology, medical device, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, agriculture sectors as well as research and academic institutions, investors, CROs and the businesses that provide critical services and products to bioscience companies.

Why exhibit at a NM booth?
* Make valued business-to-business contacts with other biological firms and potential investors from across the globe

  • Exhibit at a fraction of the cost of having your own booth
  • Distribute marketing materials of your firm, association, academic institution
  • Learn about current developments in the life sciences community
  • Increase awareness of NM’s bioscience industry

If you are interested in participating financially in this initiative, please contact me asap. Financial contributors will be able to help lease and staff the booth and distribute marketing materials of their firm, association or university.
